So got up early today, about 5:50am, and got ready. At breakfast, I found out the cousin died late last night. His funeral is tomorrow. It is pretty sad because he was only 17.
Anyway, met the group and took the chicken bus to headquarters for a day of meetings and training. We watched a movie about some Guatemalan history, had an interview with the country director, Martha, and Flavio so they could get to know me better (which I have a hard time understanding Flavio's english), had a meet and greet with PC staff, lot's of medical info- mostly about diarhea and other stomach sicknesses, which was pretty gross and kind of made me sick- and then lunch. Lunch is always fun because we get to see what everyone's mom packed them for the day....just like elementary school. After lunch was tech training, rabies shot #2, got more walk around money, learned how to use skits in our charlas, and then we were through! Several of us got a drink in Antigua before we headed home before dark. I turned in soon after dinner because I was EXHAUSTED.
